Read the extended biography
Anne Gollert Hill is an author, speaker, and Scientology survivor who spent almost two decades inside the organization. Her search for answers eventually led her to the Sea Org and international management, where she worked in proximity to David Miscavige. In August 2007, she escaped with the clothes on her back and a few belongings in her purse.
Leaving was only the beginning. Anne went on to rebuild her life, reclaim her identity, and learn to trust herself again. Today, she writes and speaks about coercive control, life after high-control groups, and the possibility of creating a fulfilling life on your own terms. Her forthcoming memoir is Escape to Joy: Reclaiming Identity, Strength, and Self After Scientology’s Coercive Control.
